You Are What You Wear

We've all heard the saying, "you are what you eat" but have you ever thought about what you are carrying around on your scrubs after a long shift? Your clothing is an expression of your personality and/or your mood that day. Scrubs are no exception as many of the scrubs we sell are fashion-foward. But that's not what we're talking about here.

Do you leave the hospital or office after your shift in your scrubs and run errands or go out to catch a quick bite? If so, you are most likely carrying microscopic germs, viruses, or parasites along with you. Many organizations are now requiring healthcare staff to change into their street clothes before leaving for the day so these microscopic organisms are contained. Most heathcare workers have only a couple of sets of scrubs and very little time to do laundry. After a 12 hour+ shift you don't have the time nor the desire to wash clothing. All you want to do is eat and hit the bed before you have to get up and do it all over again the next day.
